The new WEF Air Quality & Odor Control Benchmarking Survey

on .

WEF Odor survey   The Water Environmental Federation (WEF) Air Quality & Odor Control Committee has developed a survey to benchmark industry efforts related to odor control and odor management. The results of this survey will be useful for utilities to know how their organization's activities compare to what others are doing. In addition, the results will also be useful for consultants, manufacturers, and researchers to understand gaps and needs.

The Air Quality & Odor Control Committee is a very active team of the WEF that counts on around 60 members these days. The Air Quality & Odor Control Committee develops, recommends, and conducts programs to promote general improvement in reducing odor emissions impacts related to water quality, biosolids handling, treatment and disposal, and wastewater treatment and collection. The chair of the Committee is hold by Ms. Carla Dillon, from the planning division of the Orange County Sanitation District. Ms Dillon is a very well known person that has been working in the field of odor management for many years.

Evaluation of Efficiency of Osmogenic Barrier for Odour Abatement by Means of Electronic Nose Technique

on .

sesion07 vicente03   The objective of this paper is to describe how the application of Osmogenic barrier by pulverization of specific products is an efficient system in odour reduction. The efficacy of the process has been evaluated by electronic nose technology.

The assessment was performed in a landfill during 20 days, using 2 electronic noses to evaluate the results.
