The 2nd edition of the International Webinar “Odours Monitoring and Treatment” organised by the Portuguese Association of Environmental Engineering - APEA (Associação Portuguesa de Engenharia do Ambiente) will take place this time online on May 31st. This event is free and open upon registration.
APEA is a non-profit association formed by around three thousand environmental engineering professionals and is part of the consortium DNOSES which received funding from the European’s Union Horizon 2020 under grant agreement No. 789315. The program of this new edition is the following one:
Chemical Engineering Transactions (CET) Journal is an open access media that focuses in the publication of original research and review articles in chemical, food, process and environmental engineering. Yesterday CET published its 85 volume with a special delivery of papers related to odour management.
This volume publishes some papers presented during the last NOSE 2021 conference that took place online from 19 to 21 April 2021, This is a nice piece of information available for free that any odour manager should read at least once. One more time CET is delivering high quality content related to odours.
The International Conference on Bio-chemical Processes for Air Pollution Control will take place the 25-27 of July 2021 in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, China.
This time, the conference is organized by Volatile Organic Pollution Prevention and Control Professional Committee of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, Zhejiang Ocean University, and Tianjin University. The WK76844 - Standard Test Method for Odor and Flavor Transfer from Materials in Contact with Municipal Drinking Water is a work item revision to existing standard E2892-15 developed by Committee E18.06. This test method describes procedures for measuring odor and flavor properties of new products which may come into direct contact with municipal drinking water.
This standard was balloted for re-approval in 2020. However, there was no consensus on approving this Standard as it is from its version of 2015, so revisions will be made for a new ballot. This test method provides sample preparation procedures, methods of sensory evaluation, and a process for interpretation of results.
