Therefore various gaseous compounds might generate different odorant stimuli than the single gas compound, so you may consider that monitoring gaseous emissions as a valid alternative as an operational tool.

   In this context, Ecometrika has been worked in the development of online monitoring equipment.

Odorants Atmospheric Dispersion Forecast around a Pulp Mill Plant

sesion04 cartelle04   Traditionally, pulp mill plants using Kraft process produce TRS (Total Reduced Sulphur) odorants emissions; this is the case of ENCE-Pontevedra plant.

   In this work, PrOlor operational system for odorants atmospheric dispersion forecast is presented, based in WRF/CALMET/CALPUFF models, and applied to prevent sporadic odor episodes around that plant.

PrOlor: Forecasting Odors Two Days beforehand. Case Study of An Animal By-Product Processing Plant.

sesion04 diaz02   PrOlor is the first commercial software application in the world that is able to forecast an odor incident two days beforehand by using advanced dispersion modeling and odor measurements at the source.

   PrOlor tool was used to forecast odor incidents during 10 months in a rendering plant. The results are shown in this article.
