The Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA), in collaboration with the Air Quality & Odor Control community of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), has announced the 2027 FWEA Air Quality and Odor Control Global Conference, which will take place from March 8 to 10, 2027 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Orlando, Florida.
The event will bring together professionals from around the world involved in odor management and air pollutant control, with the aim of sharing experiences, technical solutions, and innovative approaches for controlling odor and air emissions. The technical program will include oral presentations, interactive discussions, technology exhibits, and networking opportunities.
The organization has also opened the call for abstracts for 30-minute presentations or full sessions of 150 minutes. Proposals are welcome from utilities, consultants, academia, and manufacturers, covering the following topics:
- Odor measurement and monitoring
- Air dispersion modeling
- Collection System Odor Control
- Biological odor control
- Corrosion control
- Sustainability and Greenhouse Gases
- Innovative Treatment Approaches
- Agricultural/Industrial odor control
- Odor control problems and practical solutions
- Utility odor management and planning
- Community relations and odor complaints
- Air/odor research and optimization.
Abstracts must be submitted by July 30, 2026 through the online system, and must be no longer than two pages, including tables and figures. Selected authors will be notified in mid-September and will need to complete a final manuscript.
Registration will open in the fall of 2026.
