Open the call for papers for next VDI Conference on Environmental Odours, 20-21 November 2019

gerueche umwelt 2019   The conference about Odours in the Environment organized by the German Association of Engineers (VDI) on a biannual basis will take place the 20th and 21st of November 2019 in the city of Bremen and the call for papers is open.  Due date to present your paper is the 15th of March. The cost of attending the event is 1040€. As a way to promote participation in this conference, conference speakers will attend the event for free.

   If you know a bit of German, this is the place to be this year if you care about odour management. The presentations are usually very interesting and deal with many innovative topics related to measurement of odours in ambient air and emission measurement, legislation and court cases, odour abatement, standardization and case studies. The call for papers will end the 15th of March.

   As usual, Mr. Both (State Agency for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection of North Rhine Westphalia) will be the conference chair.

   Other very well-known people in this field will participate in the organizing committee such as Peter Boeker, (University of Bonn), Isabelle Franzen - Reuter (ex-VDI, now working at the Münster University of Applied Sciences), Uwe Hartmann (ANECO) and Heike Hauschildt (Olfasense GmbH). In addition it counts also on the help of Jörg Hellhammer (Haltern am See), Martin Kamp (Agriculture of North Rhine - Westphalia), Uwe Strotkötter (Work Inspection office Hildesheim) and Dirk Franzen (VDI).

   This conference has taken place previously in the cities of Cologne (2004), Bad Kissingen (2007), Baden-Baden (2009, 2011 and 2013), Karlsruhe (2015) and Nuremberg (2017). This event serves as a a forum for local discussions in German language.
