Olfasense has announced the registration for the annual proficiency test for Dynamic Olfactometry according to the European Standard EN 13725. All laboratories around the world are invited to participate in this edition of ILC2021 test.
Once again, the German company Olfasense is behind the organization of the Interlaboratory Comparison for Olfactometry (ILC2021) according to the European Standard EN 13725. The registration period is now open.
Olfasense GmbH has been accredited since 2005, allowing them to perform proficiency tests and obtained accreditation according to the new standard for proficiency testing bodies, EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010, in December 2011.
The EN 13725 interlaboratory comparison test allows global odour laboratories to demonstrate compliance with performance requirements and compare the performance of any international laboratory. It is essential for laboratories to attain and maintain the ISO 17025 accreditation.
This year, in addition to the familiar 1-butanol samples, there will also be an option to measure samples of Tetrahydrothiophen (THT). This will give laboratories the opportunity to possibly compare performance for real samples with other participating laboratories.
Measurements for the proficiency test will be carried out between the 30th of August 2021 and the 10th of September 2021. Here you can find the announcement and invitation.
Remember to register and confirm your participation by the 28th of May 2021.
