The levels of odour incidences at permitted sites are at an all-time high with the Environment Agency deeming this to be by far the most significant issue in our sector.
Appropriate facility design and management should take account of the differing odour risks provided by the diverse range of biowastes that are being managed in the UK. Sites have an obligation to produce an odour management plan to address all these potential issues.
