Callejo   The use of microalgae in integrated gas purification processes has taken a special interest in recent years, mainly due to its ability to capture CO2. These applications involve the generation of biomass that can be used to obtain bioproducts and/or bioenergy.

However, the development of these processes requires an improvement in the cell rupture and biocompounds extraction methods. The aim of this study was to evaluate a method for obtaining proteins and free amino acids (FAN) from Chlorella vulgaris.

Oxicrew   The purpose of this article is to evaluate the effectiveness of the ozone technology. In this case study, an ozone unit was inserted after a chemical scrubber. Odour samples were taken before the scrubbing, after the scrubber (and before the ozone unit), and after the whole set of abatement. Very high efficiencies were found.

To this end, a test was carried out treating with ozone a part of the flow of a chimney in an animal by-products processing plant. The report of the VOCs and odours analysis laboratory confirmed the test success.

rincon   This document presents the information required by the Colombian environmental regulator as a requirement for a production system that has to do with the thermal treatment of animal by-products, specifically the tallow used for the production of solid soap of the company JABONES EL TIGRE Y LA ROCA S.A.

For the elaboration of the study, an evaluative research methodology has been used with the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of the system of control of atmospheric emissions by absorption in water with the scrubber of the company. Initially, the obligations imposed by the national authorities are identified through the regulations defined by the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development.
