Odour Sources in a Conventional Sewage Treatment
Odour generation is an inherent side product of waste water storage and treatment. Encroachment of developments in the proximity of sewage treatment works increases the risk of adverse odour impact on receptors.
Quantification of individual odorous processes helps operators understand which aspects of their works may be responsible and offers opportunities to find solutions to problems that may exist.
