According to the resolution 2189 of the 7th of October of 2015, the company Inco Ambiental has become the first in Colombia to be accredited by the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies of Colombia (IDEAM) under the criteria of the NTC-ISO/IEC 17025 to sample odours following the Norm NTC 5880.
INCO AMBIENTAL, is an engineering firm specialized in diagnosis and solution of different environmental aspects. This company has been working for over 30 years in the public and industrial sector and it is based in the city of Cali.
Andrés Bolaños Salas, coordinator of Special Projects commented that " The process of accreditation in Colombia requires a considerable amount of administrative, financial, logistic and operative efforts. That is way the scope reached by the auditory made last March are very positive. In this case the satisfaction is higher cause we included the parameter odour".
The scope of the accreditation under the Norm NTC/IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" version 2005 includes the following items:
- Sampling and analysis of H2S.
- Sampling and analysis of NH3.
- Sampling and analysis of Mercaptans.
- Sampling of odours according to the NTC5880 Norm.
- Static sampling for olfactometry according to the Colombian norm NTC 6011. Active sources.
