The well known HARMO conferences are a series of biennial international conferences on dispersion modelling. This year, the 21st International conference on Harmonisation within Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling for Regulatory Purposes (Harmo21) will take place in the Portuguese city of Aveiro the 27-30 September 2022. This always interesting event for air dispersion modellers comes this time with a nice Perk: A Special Session on Modelling Odour Dispersion and Exposure.

   Odour modelling for regulatory purposes is a challenging issue. HARMO conferences have been traditionally seasoned with some odour papers from time to time, but to date, there has not been a special session on odour modelling. This time, HARMO steering committee has proposed a Special Session with the title: Modelling Odour Dispersion and Exposure.

   Since a few years ago, we save a part of the budget of the conferences that we organise to make a short video on the different things that happens during the events. vdi odour conference wiesbaden   The conference about Odours in the Environment organized by the German Association of Engineers (VDI) on a biennial basis took place the 24th and 25th of November 2021 in the city of Wiesbaden. This conference serves as a forum for local discussions in German language. This year there was a special focus on odour from farms in this event, as many, many papers dealt with this topic.

   Now, if you are interested in odour management, and you understand a bit of German, this is the place to be every two years. This time, the event was hybrid so many people could attend the meeting online. Only a few people could attend the meeting personally in order to keep an adequate separation distance.
